Cologne Laue Indexation Program

The Cologne Laue Indexation Program, or short CLIP, is a software for the analysis of Laue patterns.

Clip can simulate Laue patterns for arbitrary settings of crystal and detection plane. Moreover it allows to determine the crystal orientation from spots and zones marked on a Laue photograph. Multiple image formats might be loaded, including the Bruker sfrm format used e.g. by the Bruker Apex detector, the Multiwire hs2 format used by the MWL110 Real-time Back-reflection Laue Camera System and the formats of Fuji BAS and Dürr image plate scanners. More formats could be added by request. The angles to rotate the crystal in the desired orientation could be calculated for arbitary goniometer configurations. The program is written in the C++ language and the cross platform toolkit Qt. It runs on Windows, Linux and MacOS X.

Clip is free software released under the terms of the GNU General Public License and may therefore be used and even modified at no charge.
